This Privacy Policy describes how CookieWorld Game ("the Game"), operated by Nyxa (nyxa.one) at cookieworld.nyxa.one, handles information when you use the web application.

1. Information We Collect

CookieWorld Game does not require account registration or login. The following data is collected and processed when you play:

• Display name — the name you enter, shown on the public leaderboard
• Score — number of clicks per round
• Country code — derived server-side from your IP address (two-letter ISO code only, used to display a flag on the leaderboard)
• Device identifier — a random UUID generated by your browser to link your scores to your device (no personal information is encoded in it)
• Device secret — a random token issued by the server to prevent others from submitting scores under your device identifier

2. Local Data Storage

The Game stores the following data in your browser's localStorage:

• Device identifier (UUID)
• Device secret (random token)
• Cached country code (refreshed every 7 days)

This data stays in your browser. Clearing site data in your browser will remove it; doing so will create a new player identity on your next visit.

3. Server-Side Storage

Display names, device identifiers, device secrets, scores, and country codes are stored on our server in a MySQL database. Scores are publicly visible on the leaderboard. Device secrets are kept private and used only to authenticate score submissions.

4. Analytics (Google Analytics)

The Game uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-D4YK1M6VD3) to understand aggregated usage. This may include:

• IP address (truncated by Google for anonymization)
• Browser type, language, screen size
• Pages visited and interaction events
• Approximate location (city / country)

5. Country Lookup

To display the country flag next to your score, our server queries the third-party service ip-api.com with your IP address. Only the resulting two-letter country code is stored; the IP address is not retained beyond a short in-memory cache.

6. Third-Party Services

The Game uses the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics — usage analytics by Google LLC
• ip-api.com — IP-to-country lookup (server-side only)
• Google Fonts — Inter font, served by Google LLC

7. Bots and Auto-Clickers

CookieWorld Game is intended as an auto-clicker benchmark platform. Use of scripts, bots, and automation tools is permitted. No additional data is collected from automated clients beyond what is described above.

8. Children's Privacy

CookieWorld Game is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Data Removal

If you would like your display name and scores removed from the server, please contact us with your device identifier (visible in your browser's localStorage under the key cookieGame.deviceId).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
